The apartment rental market in greater Boston has been very soft for months. Lots of vacancies and I have heard stories of various concessions being offered in the larger apartment complexes close to Boston. I recently moved to an apartment complex in Wellesley and there are several vacant apartments. The management tells me they have not had long term vacancies for fifteen years.
