Yes, I can. At the precise moment when we needed effected, reasoned leadership, they march us off to the place where the enemy ain't. With the trauma of 9/11, the Congress and the country would have bought into any action (and still will to an extent). That's when leadership judgement and ethics should be at their highest.


John, I understand your feelings but Congress is supposed to check the president. In fact, according to the Constitution, only Congress can declare a war. However, starting with Vietnam, we've allowed our presidents to get us into wars with a rubber stamp from Congress. Had Congress been doing its job, this war might have been avoided?

But you're right about the current leadership.....it stinks!
