John,
I saw the editor of the Washington Times on the hot seat as guest on CSpan when callers questioned the content of an editorial he wrote about John Kerry's testimony. It seems Kerry was relating "stories" he said he was told by fellow-veterans. He never said he saw the atrocities committed himself. My contention is that he should not have repeated those "stories" in such a public forum unless he had evidence that they indeed happened.

I'm sure there were SOME incidents since the draft pulled in SOME soldiers who should never have been placed in a situation that required self constraint. That's why the switch was made to an all-volunteer army.

Did Kerry really say these things about his fellow troops?

Absolutely yes! And he said it to congress!

Of course Kerry attributed the remarks to others...Kinda like he threw someone else's war medals away.

He got this bullshit from vietnam veterans against the war. A later investigation showed that half or more of that org never spent a day in the military. They were just hippies looking for a ride.
