LBJ was in a mirror-image situation to Bush, politically.

I sincerely doubt that the sacrificial lamb of this year can get anywhere NEAR 37%. Not even with a 200% "turnout" in Philadelphia, and 10,000 ambulance-chasers filing suit to revoke the citizenship of every serviceman serving overseas-with gay & lesbian judges who read Trotsky every night.

There just aren't enough cigarettes in AMERICA to make a dent in George Bush's popularity...

GW Bush will tank in industrial states this time. Ohio for instance is one he HAS to win or else. Ohio has been hit the hardest by the Bush economic non-program, a net loss of 600 thousand jobs. West Virginia and even Indiana may be in play. Missouri will go Dem. Arkansas may go Dem. New Hampshire will definitely go for Kerry. Colorado may go Dem. Florida will be in play and may go Dem. Don't be surprised is the imaginary GOP majority ends up being about 44% despite tejns of millions of BS ads they'll put out trying to fool voters. Everyone knows even their Medicare Plan was a huge corporate welfare giveaway to corprate interests (12 billion cash at least), hurts seniors and is much more expensive than first presented. Bush agreeing to not let the federal government bargain for cheaper drug prices tells us everything we need to know about their priorities, and since Bill Frist in in bed with the HMO's no wonder. Gross mismanagement, favoring the very rich, corruption and inaccurate info are the Bushie achilles heels.
