One thing I really hope gets across to politicians in this upcoming election, is that the black mark on the "legislation by poll" approach that Clinton used was largely unjustified. Bush is the opposite of legislation by poll. He just does what ever the hell he wants to whether there is public support or not, most of his decisions stem from his wealthy supporters and their desires. Clinton didn't do that, he checked the polls first. I think the latter approach is the winning one.
