Am I just imagining this? or have you heard it too?

It's classic "multiculturalism." If it's somebody else's culture, it must be looked upon as "good." Only ours is defective. I see it here in Hawaii with the deification of the original Hawaiian Culture. These people were stone age savages, with tribal leaders who would kill you if you stepped on their shadow. They were busy killing off each other when we showed up.

But you would be run out of the islands if you brought that up now. Now they are all "Noble Savages" who had their wonderful civilization ruined by the white man. And it is the white man who is pushing this bullshit.

Unfortunately they rarely play it both ways within the
same article. So it's only quite obvious for those who pay
attention Nadine. There's not going to be much wide media
coverage of these blatant discrepancies since the NYT &
others seem to have a similar bias.

And you surely don't expect "BBC news" to impartially
evaluate the objectivity or consistency of their own
reporting, now do you?

In their intro to which, they said, Mecca has been the center of the Hajj for 1400 years. But how was it founded? Pass from the Brit newreader to a cultivated Arab voice, who explains, Mecca was founded by the prophet Ibrahim and his son Ishmael, who build the Qabba, the oldest center of human worship of Allah.

Nadine, I'm not getting the problem with the above. Would you please connect the dots for me?

If they were doing a story on the celebration of Christmas, they would put the microphone in front of some celebrant who would say that Jesus was given birth in a manger by the virgin, Mary, and we would think nothing of it, seems to me.

It seems to me that one major difference between Islam and Christianity is that Christians have controversies about the origin of things, but Muslims don't. If you don't follow the party line, you're not Muslim.

So, you can always find a couple of Christians to give different versions of a story, but not Muslims.
