Taxes for the rich need to be moved back to Clinton levels. That worked for everyone. Estate taxes for richer people need to be put back in place to keep there from being a large permanent idle upper-class. The middleclass tax cuts can stay and we need new tax cuts for businesses which hire US workers and keep jobs in this country. On the flipside, those who export jobs should be penalized, and those who evade taxes should be thrown in jail. Finally, we should get rid of pork barrel spending and unnecessary boondoggles like Bush's new nukes program and SDI. My laser physoicist friend tells me SDI doesn't even work, isn't even close to working. He said "they have nothing yet". Meanwhile, Bush spends 20 billion on it. If we do all this plus work more with our allies, move off Arab oil and take some of the profit out of health care costs, then we will gradually right the good ship USA.
