Tell that to Harold Ford who co-chairs Kerry's campaign. Ford is the #1 black leader in the country going forward. If there were anything phony about Kerry's civil rights record, Ford and others would not be backing him. We had a Kerry fundraiser with over 50 top black leaders last year and they all strongly supported him, but they were very scrutinizing. He had to prove himself to them, they're not suckers. Expect blacks to vote for Kerry 90-10% over Bush who stole black votes in Florida to 'win" thanks to his brother's racist voter roll scrubbing which denied 57,700 mostly legal minorities their right to vote.
