...at least 2/3 of his fellow Vietnam vets don't support his candidacy. Where is this poll number from? I have not seen any. All I know is that he has a strong support base amongst the veterans. ...fodder-rich target will be fact he more than any other senator has received campaign contributions from "special interest" lobbyists. If he has then did he return any favors for that? Recieving is one thing but returning any favors for that is another. Besides unlike Cheney, he does not have any arrangement of deferred compensation with any company. So where is the fodder? Ann, would you not take any money if somebody came and gave it to you. I go out for lunches all the time with my suppliers. Does it mean that I allow that to influence my decisions? My company has no proof of that. Instead they have proof that I have advocated against the companies that take me out for lunch. I am sure that is the same with Kerry.

The Problem With Keery.... I think he would jump on ANY bandwagon passing by that would benefit him politically...be it war protests that became popular..or anything else.. Remember the hard time the Vets received upon returning from NAm? They were failures..murderers..and everything else... Dean would have been regarded as very normal and Keery would have applauded his medical deferment after he returned from his heroic mission.... But now, everyone has to have gone to NAM to be considered a viable contender? If you had told people that a NAm vet might someday be the PRes., they would have laughed you out of the room at the time.... Keery's an opportunist..and that's it. Re : Dean is regaining momentum.. Well, the press are beginning to question their role in this anti-democratic influence peddling they engaged in against Dean. This is the very stuff Dean spoke out against. They painted him as the angry crazy guy from a little state of no significance.... The people didn't get to know the real Howard Dean,and he should not have underestimated the power this machine wields..that..above everything else..has been his downfall... Russet framed him as that from the get go,and the lazy - ratings obsessed - news/entertainment - industry ,took the little ball and made a dirigible out of it.... Shame on them...
