Heinz is not funding the Kerry campaign. She is allowed to give $2000 which I'm sure she has done, and that's it. All her Heinz money is her money alone. It's not in John's name nor can he use it in any way. She could however use her millions to finance issue ads etc., and has promised to if the attacks on John get too personal and too sleazy. No doubt they will. They are already starting, comparing him to Jane Fonda etc. All a buncha rubbish of course.

Dean's payment of 5.2 million to Trippi did not include the web services. That was an extra 850 K. Trippi got a sweetheart deal taking a cut from all the Tv ad spending. It's what DC insiders do, rake big commissions off the top of campaigns they serve. All those deanies who sent in their $50 ought to be furious that so much went into Trippi's pocket.
