The V801SH from Sharp will be the second W-CDMA handset from Vodafone Japan (on sale in April). I dont think that we have ever confirmed who is supplying Sharp with chipsets, but if it is Qualcomm, it would be a big win. They have a great rep for high-end handsets in both Japan and Europe.

- 126g clamshell with a 2 talk time and a 200 hour standby time.

- 1 megapixel CCD camera with the ability to send 200KB emails (up from the previous limit of 100KB).

This handset isnt quite up to the standards set by FOMA, but Vodafone is starting to get there. The specs and form factor are more mainstream than the V801SA that Sanyo released in December.
