I have posted some of the interesting mutations on the NA gene. One amino acid change is particularly worrisome. It is rare found in an H5N1 isolate (I only found it once in a 1959 chicken from Scotland). However, it is pared up with many H's in many species, including H1 from the 1918 pandemic
