Kerry has no significant dirt in his past. All very minor stuff and things only far-right extemists would care about. My friend helped run Wiliam Weld's campaign against Kerry and admitted they could find nothing on Kerry but trivial things like him using an apartment for a reduced rent for awhile, really lame borderline stuff. Kerry is one of the most honest and ethical leaders in Washington. He returns any checks with even a hint of impropriety about them, no mater how big.

I know John.
That's why Kerry is poor choice for Dem candidate. Far too many skeletons in his closet. Dean's non-war-record matches Bush(no matter how fervently Bush campaign tries to paint him as the John Wayne of Texas National Guard), so they can't clobber him with that. However, the fact Dean has statistics constantly at the ready to describe Bush's dismal domestic agenda results is definitely the type of issue that can galvanize voters attention & lead to victory in Nov.
