John,
Kerry's post-Vietnam protest activities just about cancel out the medals. Fact that he protected those medals & threw those belonging to other vets on White House lawn is another major negative. His war record alone will not win it for Kerry and his Senate record is not impressive.

If Dean cannot get enough traction, then John Edwards is next best nominee.
