I do think it's interesting that everybody believes in free trade until it's their job that's being lost. How many IT professionals drive foreign cars, and looked the other way when people in Detroit complained about losing their jobs to Japan? How many IT professionals looked the other way when chip makers set up fabs in Taiwan, and chip makers in the US complained about losing their jobs? How many IT professionals buy clothing made overseas and look the other way when people in the textile mills complain about losing their jobs. Now, it's their own jobs that are going overseas, "Oh, woe, woe is me! Something must be done!"
