Bush is much worse than Grey Davis ever was, 50 times as bad on deficit spending on a per capita basis. The GOP were total hypocrites attacking Davis for discal irresponsibility, especially when their own cronies ripped the state off for 20 billion in gouged energy prices, cheered on by Bush-Cheney-Gillespie. Gillespie was Enron's man during the energy ripoffs. WHy the hell would Bush make him head of the GOP? Man belongs behind bars.
