Schadenfreude feels good, for just for a little bit.

In this case, for me, no, not one bit. I wish that it were otherwise. I wish that a magic wand could be waved, and that Americans would be not only the best, but the brightest, and the cheapest, and the most creative, and everything else good that it is possible to be.

Not for me, I have my place. I am not the smartest, nor the cheapest, but I am the one who is here on Sunday when they call, and will go to the court on Monday if that's what they need.

And I understand that cheaper isn't always better. Right now Chinese crawfish are far, far cheaper than crawfish from Belle River, but Chinese crawfish taste like garbage. If the day ever comes that Chinese crawfish taste as sweet as Belle River crawfish, then the price will matter to me. Right now, I don't care about the cheapness of Chinese crawfish. I won't eat garbage at any price.

But I wish I could have sweet crawfish at the price of Chinese crawfish, and frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn where they're from if they're sweet.

Maybe it's not possible to raise sweet crawfish in China. In which case, may all my crawfish come from Belle River.
