Apparently you are not aware that if one side is constantly getting publicity knocking the other side, and the other side does not fight back, the percentages shift in favor of the attacker. That is the basis for the famous post- convention bounce that both parties experience. Each summer, the Democrats get a bump in points after their convention, it recedes, and the Republicans get a bump, which generally recedes. After Dukakis won the nomination in '88, he was leading Bush by about 17 points. By election day, he was thoroughly trounced........
