Imagine the intersection of two (3 dimensional) spheres passing through each other. It starts as a point, becomes a widening (2dimensional) circle to some maximum, and then eventually shrinks back to a point.

If two "4-dimensional balls" intersected the result could be an expanding 3 dimensional surface. A little hard to imagine , but the math is the very similar to the first case.

We may just be the side effect of pan-dimensional shapes whizzing around and occasionally passing through each other. String theory suggests dimensions that we are unable to experience.

So...our universe gets blacked out and PERHAPS those atoms will be the basis for the next?

yah , the universe in the end , just winks out literally , and takes a cat-nap !

well , in human terms , one might call it the
"Big Sleep" ?
hehe

though time would be irrelevant under those kind of circumstances, and like death itself no passage of any amount of years or eons makes the slightest bit of difference. And the size of "space" also takes on another demension , like time having not the same meaning , nor will "size" of that space.

There is "God" reclining up there somewhere deep in dreaming , and little bubbles escape his mouth , and every bubble becomes a universe , Out from his navel springs a lotus flower which unfolds its petals to reveal the hidden Lord Brahma within , who for a while is Lord/Holy Spirit for the while the play is enacted ....then the flower begins to fold back into itself , and the whole thing starts all over again.

Fairytale ? No the Hindus have believed this for a few 1000yrs and were already reconing the ages of the "All & Evrything " in the cycles of Brahma , the Flower emanting from Vishnu's navel , and reconing all this in billions of years, when the Hebrew mind could barely assign a few thousand years to creation.

And of course , there is time enough to also come back and take your turn over again and again and again...until we get it set just right .

Moral of the story ? To see with what might be termed an inordinate developed "persistance of vision" , that
---- --->Thou ART That!

The end becomes the begining , and the good news is we all reach enlightment in the end , hehe, eventually .

God is great, no?
