That 400 billion is WAY low. There's so much "off the books" spending that doesn't figure in to make that number a lowball joke. For instance, the whole cost of the Iraq operation isn't counted! We've got a military ready to go toe to toe with the old Soviet Union, even though it doesn't exist. Aircraft carrier battle groups, hunter killer submarines (the Russians keep theirs at dock), 5000 strategic nuclear missiles, thousands of fighters and bombers, thousands of tanks and other vehicles and all the support that goes in to it. Let's have a garage sale! (But not to China) Use the proceeds to pay down the debt.

I don't like that whole corporate tax idea you have there. Unless the government stops taxing items like retail sales and my income. :)
