<<Ther may be hope for Bush but is there any hope for the conservative movement. Bush has given more to the left than CLinton ever did. His latest is he wants to increase funding for the arts. Apparently there isn't enough money to buy buckets to put religious articles in and urinate on them.

Reagan wanted to end the department of education. GW wants to expand it. Please give me back Bill CLinton he was far more conservative than GW.>>

The Bush administration has methodically raided the federal coffers sending huge amounts of resources to their benefactors leaving the country deep in debt.

This isn't stupidity or incompetence, it's malfeasance.

And GWB can't even come up with five million to repair the Statute of Liberty, which has been closed since 9/11. But going to Mars sure was nice PR, wasn't it? Or, er, ahh, at least it was meant to be--lol!

I can't believe you guys are so up in arms about the piddly arts funding. Rush and all conservatives are outraged! Outraged I tell you! Bush gave money to the arts!

For gods sake Bush has spent this country into a pit that it will take years to get out of. Incredible, wasteful spending mostly on war and corporate pork. Bush increased NEA funding by 18 million... what a joke. This 18 million really pushed you guys over the edge didn't it? It wasn't the 190 billion farm pork bill. Or the 560 billion pharma lobby drug company medicare giveaway with no cost controls. But this 18 million more for NEA! Dammit that has to go!

At least I as a taxpayer get to see something for arts spending. I guarantee you this NEA money is going for a 911 monument. We can only hope it is as good as the vietnam memorial.

Get some perspective you right wingers. You really are too much.

Bush has given far too much to the left who appreciate none of it. His second term won't be fixated on winning re-election and appeasing liberals. We will see Bush's conservative colors come through.
