California corp taxes are below 1994 levels. The thing that is so amazing about that is that in 94 the tech economy was a fraction of what it is today... Cisco, Yahoo etc barely existed.

The other problem though, is that something is wrong with the GDP figures so any gauge for "tax revenues as % of GDP" is going to be hard to evaluate. I don't think anybody believed we had 7-8% GDP in the fall of 03.
