Tubing in Texas is like the poor mans yacht party. Get 10 or 15 people on tubes...get a keg or a vast quantity of 12 packs strapped into another tube, tie them all together and see who is still ON a tube at the end of the day...lol

I can understand the marina culture a little, but I am surprised your dad did not use his boat more. At my lake property there is a diner many of the locals eat breakfast at. It took several years for me to get to know a lot of the people.
