Do you think the results of Powell's FCC Investigation will be available before the election? Before Plame? Before 911 investigations?

And yet for 30 years they have continuously begged, in a steroid roughened demanding voice, that tax payers keep building them bigger and swankier studios. They're back, helmet in hand, again this year at the MN legislature. And they never say please or thank you. Personally, I can't wait for the day that I can watch the LA Vikings on TV.

Maybe now we'll finally grasp the fact that the league is just another mass entertainment company, the Viacom of sports.

One point worth mentioning is that it's the FCC's job to monitor and regulate the airwaves. That's what we the people pay them for. If folks don't want them regulating the airwaves, they are free to initiate a process to change the FCC's charter. But until then, they will continue as they have for the past 70 years.

Now, on the other hand, if folks just want them to relax the broadcast standards, they should clearly define appropriate content and where exactly to draw the line. Something like, breast OK, explicit oral sex not OK...?
