So college students are "kids", and you think this goes on in all community colleges, or most- or enough to be representative of some point?

My mother taught at community college, my father worked at a CSU campus, I teach at high school- and while this "They teach are kid to hate their culture stuff" may make for pleasant on-air griping for conservatives with time to fill on their radio programs, I've never seen anything even close to "I hate my culture stuff", outside of minority studies programs in COLLEGE (where children there are none)- and minority studies, thank goodness, is on the wane. And even in those programs (please make sure you read the bolded part) it wasn't "I hate my culture"- it was, "Let us examine a few of the ugly aspects of our culture". I know that threatens some people- but one of the great strengths of our country, and a weakness of other countries, is that we DO self examine- even if it is only that pesky cultural elite that drives the examination. IMO they do you, and everyone else, a huge benefit by checking over our society and culture for warts. That you do not appreciate this, does not lessen the importance of what they do. IMO, of course. I do not expect you to agree.

Next time you want to talk about "kids", let's make sure they aren't the same age as the "adults" you are probably happy to send off to die in Iraq. That's just TOO ironic. Can die in Iraq, but cannot think for self? hmmmm
