Wasted three days!!

I got rid of the corrupt file. I had to reformat everything, importing a watch list into the 800 X 600 default. Pain in the rear. Had to select colors (the defaults drive me crazy) again, which should let one know how extensive the rebuild was.

Worked great, as always!

So, I again loaded the news watchlist with a few tickers. I closed and relaunched the program (repeatedly). No problem. I therefore loaded ALL of my tickers of interest to the newswatch list.........

Crashes again. I presume, but do not know, that there is a maximum number of tickers that can be loaded to the watchlist?? Alternatively, it could be one of the specific tickers that I access which is causing the file to become corrupt.

So.... Schwab technical service has heard, on several occasions, about corrupt layout files. They just don't know what causes them.

So..... I just worked through the problem with Schwab technical service one more time. What happened when THEY loaded the newswatch list and then shut down the program and relaunched? It crashed.

:-)

Warning! If you load too many tickers to your newswatch list, you'll be in for mucho time required to reformat everything that you hold near and dear. This issue has effectively shut me down for four days.
