Neo, Nice to see you fell for the old Reagan war record scams. But, to his credit, at least Reagan served his country probably as well as he could do. The same could not be said for phony icons like John Wayne. Yes, we had lots of cold war stuff after The Missile Crisis. But never direct confrontation again. The USSR couldn't dare it. They used proxies, like Vietnam, just as we used Afghanistan and Czechoslovakia. In other words, the cold war had been won and it was just a question of feeble phony wars until the WWII generation of Soviet heroes died out. You've read a little history, but you accept too much at face value. As you grow wiser, here's hoping you get a bit of sophistication in your analysis.
