OT I don't follow options as closely as I should but from your explanation, it sounds like someone is taking a bullish position. On a different note, I think we are seeing a shaking out process in the overall market. Most of the move off last year's low has seen similar short term topping action, then a relatively quick backfill move before returning to the upside. Since earnings are over and the sell-on-news was relatively orderly, I think we'll get a change of direction (back up) within the next 5 or 6 trading days. There definitely appears to be an attempt by the market makers to push down stocks that have "out performed", at least that's the way it looks to me. fwiw
