Amazing the come back the turkey has made up here. Population is getting so high that they raised the bag limit to 3 birds and extended the season by 4days. There are three places I know of in town that I could drive right up to and get out of the car and watch them. They are so close that you would have no problem getting a head shot with a 22. On any given time I have seen at least 2 birds and as many as 12 at these places. There is no more than 2-3 acres of forest at any one of the three spots I know about.

CT is going to have a problem with the deer population if they don't start managing it better soon. There are so damn many deer in the state that it won't be long before they start to run out of food. Parts of the state are so bad that folks have a choice of fencing in the yard or planting things deer will not eat. Many are killed by cars as well and you probably know the damage they can do not only to the car but the person/s riding in it.

Next time around....bob bitches about state/federal management of ocean fish and shell fish. The stripped bass is a good example of what can be done if they want to do it.

If you want you can use my Browning 10 gauge auto. It has the screw in chokes and as I remember I still have some #4 2 1/4 ounce lead loads. But you have to invite me up for dinner. Had wild turkey once and loved it.
