Most of the life of Jesus is totally unknown to us....and no people building up a legend would allow that to be so."

is that right ?

hmmmm....

I will have to think about that.

But generally when someone is raised to "God status" , much later on , it does tend to have somewhat of a
legendary cast to it ...among the the other
myriad miracles.

Do you believe that Jesus was calling himself "God"?
Or was it others that followed after ....I would have called him wise and revolutionary in the moral sense, seemed to have great disdain for tyranny , and preached against the snares of greed and too much emphasis on ownership of material & earthly titles allowing for extreme excess...and he led the ascetic life with ascetic pleasures of freedom from the above thru austerity .

Yet there have also been too many such people down thru history , even down to some of our founding fathers of this country's democracy and revolution . Shall we call them all "God" too ? Or is it just Jesus back in the times of legend and the primitive tribal messiah cults of Judea that get to have a claim to this "Godhead"?
