I noticed in any article today on advances in auto lighting that LED based headlamps draw about 1/7 the power that conventional lamps draw. This enables smaller wiring harnesses saving weight. Interesting too that the headlamps can be controlled to shift their aim when turning and to lengthen or shorten their beam when speeding up or slowing down!

It would seem that LED's could revolutionize home and industrial lighting. Light comes on when someone enters a hallway and follows the person down the hall?
