Currently a possible problem of low frequency sound from wind turbines is being investigated. It may drive folks nuts. Also thousands if not tens of thousands of birds get shredded. I consider wind power a boutique toy and it may have severe environmental hazards in it's present form. Hybrids cannot even pay for themselves. They are experiments. I have no problem with any scientific research into process and energy. I assume smart folks will make the most of what is allocated. No alternative energy generation works by my standards. They don't even come close. Anyone who is really concerned with CO2 would support nukes. To me nukes are the most effective conservation technology available. I also believe the technology today would allow building even more super safe reactors at much lower costs.
