Well, on the face of it, ex-CIA directors would seem to have the needed expertise. What is Woodward suggesting, that anybody with pro-war opinions be disqualified? or would he prefer anybody with CIA experience be disqualified? Yet Woodward seems equally critical of Snowcroft, non CIA & one of the most prominent anti-war voices! Then he starts doing armchair psycho-analysis on the Bushes. This is just not serious. This is venting. What does Woodward want, for Kofi Annan to appoint the panel? Looks like the only way he'd be happy.
