Hello Jay,

Just made my first stock purchase in well over a year. Bought a bundle of UTStarcom (NASDAQ: UTSI).

The stock looks good for a short term gain (less than a year) in the neighborhood of 50%, maybe 100% if I'm really, really lucky. But, being a long term, buy and hold type of guy, I'll hold long term (probably more than 5 years) for the big gains, which I think have a real possibility of coming in at more than triple what I've paid.

This is my first "China play", though UTSI is a USA-based company doing business mostly in foreign lands. China currently accounts for the largest portion of the revenues and earnings, but the company is branching out to other geographic areas such as Latin America, Africa and (of interest to you) Trinidad and Tobago... <g>

As always, my opinion of the potential for this stock may have been derived from persistent use of rose-colored glasses. Other folks may have contrary opinions...
