Don't know how it is now, but there was no separate training in the 70s, the Army NG enlistee went through the same Basic Training and Advanced Training as the regular Army enlistees or draftees.

Josh, I got a "cannot open page" message when trying to access your link, but I really don't need to see it. I have been in the National Guard, and know that we were trained in the same way as regulars, and when on duty, had to be as military as any regular in any service. Also, I know from direct contacts, that the regulars in WW2, and Korea, were very happy to have Guardsmen at their sides.
