<< "red stuff you call dirt."<grin>>> Don't remind me. It makes me yearn for the rolling lush soil and woods of Northern Virginia.

Yeah, I read you loud and clear. A lot of backward looking going on also. What gold did in the 30's is no sure indicator that it will repeat because of the major differences in the world economy today.

I guess that's what makes forward looking guys like me overly anxious. What stays in my gut that I can't shake is my missing the run-up in the Tech stocks that I used to so faithfully hold. I was listening to you guys and Mr. Sinclair holding patiently while my beloved Techs doubled and tripled. Last year was a downer for me. Maybe since I missed all the action last year- gold stocks will pay off for me this year. If not, I won't stick around to the bloody end.

I am also not a chartist because I have other things to do than to stay glued to stocks eight hours a day. A person grows old too quickly as it is without letting life pass him by trying to make an extra buck by watching an impersonal monitor day in and day out. Like it or not, that can too quickly become another addiction. A happy guy is one who does things in moderation. Making dough or building up gold is not my idea of happiness. I like to spend money but never was a hoarder.

So, jump right in the middle of me if you think I am a Tech bug or not comitted to looking at charts and drawing lines. It still does not allow you to see past the end of your nose. (smile)
