I agree, it helps, I just don't think it will help enough to matter, in the end. Dole didn't beat an admitted draft dodger, and McCain was up against Bush when the allegations about his guard duty first surfaced.

By the way, it is my opinion that he entered the Guard because he wanted to fly jets, like his dad, and that was the surest way to get there. Not only is it dangerous even to train on a jet, but during Korea, the Air Guard had many units called to service in the theater of combat. He had no reason to count on staying stateside........

Wrong. What makes F'n Kerry INeffective as a military leader is his voting record on defense and his wishy washy wet finger in the air polling to see what to will do and his willingness to hand over our military to the UN.
