The First World/G7. It's inevitable, and not particularly undesireable for the world as a whole.

I'm not sure its inevitable. It is probably inevitable that some nations will join the G7, creating the G8 or 9, but other nations with corrupt governments will never advance imho.

If you've ever visited the maquilladoras on the mexican border towns, it seems clear that many Nafta benefits are being squandered by somebody. US companies are manufacturing in Mexico but they are a long ways away from creating a middle class. Juarez in particular is probably the most dangerous city in the world in terms of murders. I don't think that was the case pre-Nafta.
