OT Jan I don't typically short against the box. I did in this case because the account that has my long shares does not allow after hours trading. The stock ran up big on an earnings report last summer and I wanted to take some of my profits. So I sold short in another account. This short position has been under water since the day I initiated it until just recently. I thought it an opportune time to take some modest profits there because I think WDC is now oversold. In fact I think the entire DD sector is discounting a price war situation that I think is unlikely to materialize.
