I don't know much about the east Coast blackout but I think you were right about obsolete equipment. The west Coast was faced with a similar incident several years back and many states did upgrade various components so that one blackout wouldn't bring down the entire coast. Ca sued several of the energy firms and it was decided that illegal manipulation did in fact occur. With the Republicans in the palm of Kennyboy's hand he could have his way with Ca...............Jeffords changed the power structure and the "crisis" resolved itself. Pat
