No, a brain surgeon does not have god-like powers although I would understand someone saved by one wanted to bestow the honor on him. His powers are strictly learning and skill.

j f shepard ignoramus is on display again. Technically a Saint is a person that the Church has judged to be in Heaven. Prayers to saint are of the form of requests to intercede with God for something or other. Forgiveness, understanding or relief from some trail. Prayer often can be a conversation and not just repeating wrote prayers.
