Regarding Gulfstream Current-driven Turbines; you would have to submerge the generators ( hard or expensive to service ), have super long flexible drive shafts ( expensive and hard to maintain ), use the turbines to pump water up to large ( Paul Bunion's golf ball ) towers to create sufficient head pressure to drive ground-mounted positive displacement water-motor driven generators, and the salt water and salt-air atmosphere in FL is a bloody maintenance nightmare. (..Been d'ere - dundat..)

With Kerry or the (W)itch, you don't need an AD. Just hook a pipe from their mouths to the gas-turbine and you're in business.

John :-)
