I think what you say about how the Nazi's viewed the left side of the political spectrum is partially true. They may very well have connected their Jewish population with communism and socialism as a convenient political ploy....but there also was a deep rooted antagonism of the left among financiers, businessmen, and industrialist in Germany (as there was in many other parts of the western world). The Nazi's and the moneyed right formed a symbiotic relationship in Germany in the 30's based largely on their shared hatred of the left. This was very helpful to Adolph and his crew.

Fascism in the late 20's and 30's was on the right politically, supported by wealthy interests who feared the potential rise of the left. Remember Russia 1917? Italy was another obvious example, as was Franco in Spain.
