we were talking about cost of attending university not grade school. But to answer your question, no, I did not work until I was 17 or 18 or something like that.....

True and I have not been tracking education cost since then so to a degree I was guessing. But how much funding top school needs if the tuition is through the roof? At my old school it is at about 30K with about 20K undergrads and 20K grads. If everyone would pay that would add up to over $1B.
