stockman_scott, a very good article. To this phrase I would say:

I would ask the presidential candidates: How do you think about risks? What is prudent stewardship for the nation in a time of so much volatility? How do you make decisions in a world where you never know what you don't know?

As an insurance against risk, we should analyze any situation with a wider group of people to examine the pros and cons. In this case Bush and his folks should have consulted with the leaders of other countries, give due thought and consideration to what others said, not ignored those who said things contrary to what they wanted to hear etc. Instead they ignored what France, Germany, Russia, India etc, said. Instead they went on a tirade against these countries (Freedon Fries instead of French Fries etc.)
