I'm a creative type that likes to achieve goals. Disciplined people would cut variable costs (VC) while keeping Fixed Costs (FC) high. A creative person cuts FC to the bone and leaves creative room for VC.

My startup has a 401k plan that allows employees to invest in anything they want. Stock, bond, mutual fund, whatever. Am a huge believer in letting people decide. I think it's fiduciary irresponsible to impose a company's preferred selected mutual funds onto other employees.

The firm we work with, eventually went on and did the 401k back engine for Charles Schwab's firm.
