abstract,

Facts are important. And in America, appearances frequently are more important than the facts.

You just identified that which disgusts me about politics and politicians. Appearance over fact, form over substance. That's no way to run a country (and I'm not suggesting that you're saying otherwise).

"That is what APPEARED to happen."

"We will see, but this is not about the facts. This is
about APPEARANCES."

"Facts are important. And in America, appearances
frequently are more important than the facts."

Thanks for your honesty. You are confirming a form of
atrocious behavior I have adamantly taken a stand against
most of my life. I have frequently stated the following
when debating others who have insisted on, deceit,
distortion & lies to support their faulty POV's....

<font size=4>Perception is reality..... regardless of the facts.

If appearance is more important to you than facts, then we
really have nothing worthwhile to debate.

Why do you think this atrocious behavior is becoming more
commonplace? Because their is a growing audience ready to
accept such behavior & a shrinking audience that will
speak out against it.<font size=3>

My heated debates in the past with folks like
bonnuss_in_austin are a perfect example why. They had no
need for facts or reality. They had an agenda to
accomplish & in their mind, the end justified the means.
All they were interested in was creating a perception via
lies & intentional deceit. Once their perception took
hold, a false reality was created that some folks firmly
believed in.

Agenda accomplished. Who cares if it was all based on lies
& deceit lies?

Perhaps you have no problem with liberal politicians &
liberal media repeatedly lying, distorting, intentionally
deceiving & selectively reporting to create the appearance
of a reality that never existed. That's a slippery slope I
want no part of.

I have little respect for those who are willing to cling
to an ideology by simply accepting the perception of an
alternate reality over one that is supported by facts.

Always have. Always will.

Even terrorists see the advantages of unethical & immoral
behavior.....

A new effective anti-Zionist-entity tactic is being
proposed by the Egyptian official government daily
newspaper Al-Masaa. It falls under the heading
assymmetrical warfare, specifically, <font size=4>taking advantage of
your enemy's stupid sentimental attachment to ethics.

The Genious Ideology of Asymmetrical Warfare <font size=3>

A new effective anti-Zionist-entity tactic is being proposed by the Egyptian official government daily newspaper Al-Masaa. It falls under the heading assymmetrical warfare, specifically, taking advantage of your enemy's stupid sentimental attachment to ethics.

As translated by MEMRI:
<font size=4>
Even if during [a martyrdom operation] civilians or children are killed -- the blame does not fall upon the Palestinians, but on those who forced them to turn to this modus operandi.<font size=3>

Ultimately, we should bless every Palestinian man or woman who goes calmly to carry out a martyrdom operation, in order to receive a reward in the Hereafter, sacrificing her life for her religion and her homeland and knowing that she will never return from this operation.
<font size=4>
But at the same time, we wonder about the [Arab media's] reason for publishing the names of those who carry out the [martyrdom] operations; [this publishing] is a valuable gift that the Palestinian resistance gives the Zionist entity, since as soon as it receives this gift, the armies of the [Zionist] entity hasten to the home of the martyr's family, wounded by the loss of its son, in order to multiply its pain by destroying its home. Moreover, the home of the martyr's family is always destroyed negligently, causing serious damage to or the collapse of the neighbor's home.

Lemme see if I get this right. Since the Israelis punish
suicide bombers by destroying the family home (after due
notice to clear the premises) the best way to handle
things is to simply not publish the name of the suicide
bomber so the Israelis will then, uh, maybe, do what
Saddam Hussein or the Syrians do and perhaps (after due
notice) level the entire town? (Oh wait -- I forgot, the
Syrians and Saddam Hussein never gave due notice for all
those inhabitants to get out. Oh well...)
