I don't share the same outrage many have about 2000, despite the bizarre behavior from the putative winner. All Gore had to do was carry one or two other states, like his home state, and he would have won without question. A candidate that can't manage that isn't worth much in my book. Hopefully, Gore's Dean endorsement has consigned poor Al to the political footnotes forever. We need someone who can take out the Shrub by a decisive margin and change the tone for good at home and abroad. I am not yet convinced that Kerry can do that, but I will be watching with interest. Along with the rest of the world that is waiting for the US to come to its senses.
