S2, I read this sort of thing with a hairy eyeball. The Grotesque Outrage Perpetrators always talk about dumping their VPs. Wisenheimer was told to get rid of Tricky Dick, Nixon was certain to dump Agnew, etc. Never happens. That would be admitting they made a mistake, which they cannot do, as they make almost nothing but mistakes. Nixon had to wait until Agnew was about to be convicted of a felony before he got rid of him. That's the only way Cheney will go, unless his ticker gets gimpy again.
