I saw Lew Rockwell once. One of the most unpleasant people I have had occasion to listen to. His personality is rude, pugnacious, self- righteous, and scolding. He hates some of my political heros, especially Lincoln. He is a dyed in the wool reactionary, who thinks that everything started going to hell in a handbasket with the Chief Justiceship of John Marshall, establishing things like the right of the federal bench to review decisions of the state courts, and giving the Supreme Court the final word on Constitutionality. He is still an American Firster, who hates FDR and thinks we should have stayed out of World War II. Of course, he hates neoconservatives, for having helped to shift the balance of influence within conservatism away from people like him, who were already unrepresentative of much of the conservative movement.......
